What is IronPort?

How does it work?

IronPort is ordered per domain, and then all mail delivered to mailboxes hosted under that domain are automatically and seamlessly protected by IronPort. Messages that are unquestionably SPAM are automatically filtered out by the Reputation Filter and then remaining messages are passed through the Content Filter providing a second layer of protection.

How accurate is it?

Messages that IronPort is unsure about are quarantined and a daily filtering report is sent to each mailbox that is very easy to understand and use. Best of all, users do not have to train the filter; from day one the system provides unparalleled accuracy with a false positive rate of less than 1 in a million messages incorrectly classified as spam and achieving a 99.99% successful filtering rate for garbage mail from your inbox.
